10th Photography History Meeting

OBJECTIVES

The nine History of Photography Meetings held in Castilla-La Mancha since 2004 have helped establish methodological guidelines for the preservation and management of photographic heritage. They have also explored its potential as a historical, artistic, or documentary source.

We are convening the 10th Meeting in Ciudad Real (Faculty of Arts, University of Castilla-La Mancha), where we began twenty years ago. We invite researchers, students from various disciplines, professionals from archives, libraries, museums, and collectors to engage in a discussion on the subject.

This year, our theme is Photojournalism, which will be the focus of some of the presentations. Additionally, all possible approaches to the history of photography are welcome.

COMMUNICATIONS

The deadline for submitting research proposals is November 24, 2023. You will need to send an abstract (up to one page, 2100 characters, spaces included) with the title and author’s information (brief curriculum) to the email address of the Center for Studies (ceclm@uclm.es). Once acceptance is confirmed, the registration and payment period will be open. Registration will also be available for those interested in attending only.

The volume containing the discussed results will be published in the collection of the Center for Studies of Castilla-La Mancha and the Editorial Service of the regional University, after undergoing blind peer review.
