FIRST CALL OF THE FBS FOUNDATION
FOR COLLABORATIONS WITH RESEARCHERS IN THE PHOTOGRAPHIC (STEREOSCOPIC) BRANCHES CONNECTED WITH SCIENCE AND ART
Basis of the call
The first application period for unpaid FBS Foundation collaborations with researchers is now open.
Proposals will be accepted from 15 December 2024 to 10 January 2025.
The FBS Foundation/Collection will receive applications for documentary support for research to be carried out, by non-face-to-face means in this call, on elements and/or sections of the FBS Collection, with a predetermined theme. This limitation is associated with the work projects that are being outlined in the FBS Foundation, and which will be carried out with materials from the accessible part of the Collection.
The themes for the development of the research projects are:
1.- Opera through stereoscopic photography.
2.- Stereoscopy as a forerunner of cinema.
3.- Use of stereoscopic photography in specific areas of science.
4.- Uses of stereoscopic photography in areas of inclusive education for social purposes.
From the proposals, within the indicated themes, two will be selected.
The results will be published with the two selected for the period of 2025, with the possibility of declaring it void, in which case the reasons will be explained.
The two requests that have been of interest to the Advisory Council of the FBS Foundation will be made public at the beginning of March 2025, and the selected research will be carried out between April and November 2025.
The results of this research will be made public through the web and will give rise to a publication in 2026, which the researchers themselves will control together with the Foundation’s team; these works will form part of the group of papers to be given during the conferences to be held at the beginning of 2027 (with the corresponding update, depending on the trajectory of the research).
The main language of the proposals and papers will be Spanish, complemented by most of the languages of Iberia, plus Italian, English and French.
The application form is attached as a downloadable link.
